Why $10 is not one trade
The deposit floor and the stake floor get quoted together so often that they blur into one number, and on the screen they are nowhere near each other. One belongs to the cashier and the other to the trade panel, and they differ by roughly a factor of ten. A $10 balance is not a single contract; it is around ten of them at the smallest stake the box accepts.
